NEWS ROUNDUP — Amax drilling Robertson play

Five rigs are set to begin drilling at the Robertson project in Nevada’s Crescent Valley.

The program will involve drilling 140 holes, for a total of 50,000 ft. Amax Gold (NYSE) can earn a 60% interest from Coral Gold (VSE) by completing a bankable feasibility study on the Porphyry zone by September. Coral has the option to revert to a 30% carried interest.

The drilling is part of a $2.2-million program which will also include environmental base-line studies and engineering and metallurgical studies. The Porphyry zone contains an estimated geological resource of 20 million tons grading 0.036 oz. gold per ton.
