NEWS ROUNDUP — Allegheny plans drill program

A drilling program is planned by Allegheny Mines (ASE) at its expanded property holdings in northwestern Ontario.

The company hopes to increase reserves by testing a new structural interpretation and confirming mineral inventory at the shaft. Allegheny recently acquired 380 contiguous claims and units adjoining its 47-claim Lindsay Mines project in McCaul Twp. The company now controls ground in McCaul, Ramsay Wright and Hutchinson twps.

Newly appointed exploration vice-president of Allegheny is Derek Bartlett, who served formerly as exploration manager for Gold Fields Canadian Mining.
