El-Equip Inc. of Elliot Lake, Ont., recently obtained a technology supply contract with Codelco, Chile’s state-owned mining conglomerate. The contract, worth $400,000, is for the supply and installation of an advanced voice and data radio communication network in the Andina mine in the Chilean mountains. El-Equip said the hardrock mine has 27 km of underground tunnels and workplaces.
