At the end of the quarter Bunker Hill had $1.7 million cash on hand compared with $822,369 on Mar 31, 1988. The company has no debt.

Grand Forks Mines has changed its name to Attwood Gold Corp. (ATW:VSE) on a 1-new-for-5-old share basis. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust Company of Canada.

Metall Mining’s (TSE) first- quarter income before extraordinary items was $7.5 million or 20 cents per share, the company reported. In the same period last year income was $4.3 million or 11 cents per share. Extraordinary items, particularly recovery of deferred taxes, boosted net income to $8.6 million or 23 cents per share.

Metall is a Canadian-based company with interests in gold, silver and non-ferrous base metal properties in North America and on the Pacific Rim.
