An association of Newfoundland and Labrador explorationists (NALE) is organizing a “rock room” during two days of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s annual convention in Toronto.
The display, open March 30-31, will feature a wide variety of rock specimens supplied by a number of individual prospectors as well as junior and major mining companies. Most will come from properties on the province’s island portion.
A compendium of mineral properties and prospects available for joint venture consideration will also be available.
The province is one of the least explored areas of North America although it has been a significant base metal producer in the past and has been the site of several recent gold discoveries.
