Murray Pezim’s illness prompts changes at Prime

The admission to hospital of mining promoter Murray Pezim is not expected to slow down his flagship company, Prime Equities International (VSE).

The Vancouver-based businessman underwent abdominal surgery at St. Paul’s Hospital in early July. In the meantime, John Harvey, currently vice-president of exploration, has been appointed president.

“Until such time as Murray is fully recovered and able to resume his duties as president, I have accepted the board’s request to expand my duties as vice-president, exploration, and assume the interim duties of president,” Harvey stated.

Prime holds 2,248 claims in the Voisey Bay and Harp Lake areas of Labrador where airborne geophysical surveys and ground follow-up work are under way.

Prime also holds interests in 12 associated companies, with land holdings in the Voisey Bay-Harp Lake areas totaling a further 5,120 claims.
