Mt. Milligan decision delayed

It could be a month or more before Placer Dome (TSE) announces a decision on whether it will proceed with mine development at the Mt. Milligan gold-copper project north of Prince George, B.C.

The company acquired the project for $258 million in 1990, and is completing a feasibility study to determine the economic viability of the project.

A decision was expected in late 1991, but recent reports are the company has not yet completed negotiations with the provincial government on technical issues.
