Drilling is under way at the Higgins property in New Hampshire, says owner Morgain Minerals (VSE).
The company will test two geophysical conductors, one on the southern half and the other on the northern half of the property.
The southerly conductor, which is strongly conductive, is 200-300 ft. wide and extends for a strike length of 1,200 ft. Previous shallow drilling intersected copper-lead-zinc, silver and gold-bearing sulphides. The northerly conductor is less conductive, narrower, and has a strike length of at least 700 ft. A shallow drill hole completed in the 1970s by Standard Metals returned a 32.5-ft. interval grading 5.8% zinc, 1.5% lead and 0.5% copper. The lower portion of the hole was also reported to be mineralized but assays from this section are not available.
Morgain will complete a program on the northerly conductor, then move to the southerly conductor.
