More drilling for Glimmer property

Due to lower than anticipated drill costs, two additional holes will be drilled on the Glimmer Resources’ (TSE) Hislop-Beatty gold property in northeastern Ontario. The new holes will be drilled to further evaluate previous intersections in the No. 2 or East zone.

The drill program is being managed by Noranda Exploration on behalf of Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE), which is project operator and has a 60% interest in the property.

Preliminary reserves on the Glimmer property are estimated to be 968,190 tonnes grading 11.6 grams gold per tonne (T.N.M., Nov. 2/92). As well, Glimmer is hoping to carry out exploration on its 132-claim property in Barnet Twp. near Kirkland Lake, Ont., and a base metal property near Watson Lake, Yukon. The company says that the Barnet Twp. property has the potential to host both gold mineralization and diamonds.
