Drilling on El Dorado, a gold project in El Salvador, has returned additional gold values for joint-venture partners Mirage Resources (VSE), Bethlehem Resources (TSE) and Dejour Mines (TSE).
Bethlehem and Dejour each hold a 25% interest, while Mirage owns the balance.
The latest drilling was focused on La Coyatera North vein, which has now been tested over a strike length of 250 metres. Three new intersections on section 1040 indicate grade increases to the north.
The best intersection includes an 8-metre interval grading 21.55 grams gold and 87.3 grams silver per tonne.
The results will be incorporated into an ongoing prefeasibility study which also includes the Nueva Esperanza and El Dorado vein systems. Drilling below the old workings at El Dorado returned good intersections on the Minta and Minta-3 veins. That drilling extends over a strike length of 300 metres and to a depth of 150 metres below the 425 level, to a total depth of 280 metres.
