Mining Week activities planned

Mining Week in Newfoundland will be celebrated Nov.4-11.

Two major activities are planned for the week. On Nov. 4, the Newfoundland Dept. of Mines and Energy will host its review of activities for 1993. And on Nov. 4-6, the Newfoundland branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum will stage its 40th annual meeting in St. John’s. The theme of this year’s branch meeting is “competing in a global industry.”
