Mining Information Kit for Aboriginal Communities

The Mining Information Kit for Aboriginal Communities is designed to inform Aboriginal communities across Canada about the mining cycle, from early exploration to mine closure. Demand for the kit is high and several thousand bound copies have been produced; it is now in its second printing.

The project partners (PDAC, Mining Association of Canada, Canadian Aboriginal Minerals Association, and the Canadian government) welcome comments on the kit as we want to ensure that it offers a useful information resource for Aboriginal peoples, and for all those who are involved in the minerals industry.

Copies and comments: electronic copies in English and French can be downloaded from the PDAC website at pdac.ca/pdac/advocacy/aboriginal-affairs/. Copies will also be available at the PDAC booth during the convention.

To request a bound copy of the kit or to submit your comments, please contact Philip Bousquet, PDAC Director, Sustainability at pbousquet@pdac.ca
