Mineral outlook conference set

The ninth annual Canadian Mineral Outlook Conference, to be hosted by Energy Mines and Resources (EMR) Canada and the Mining Association of Canada (MAC), is set for Nov. 26 at Ottawa.

Theme of the 1-day conference will be “the competitive edge,” with speakers to focus on the competitive challenges facing the Canadian mineral industry in light of the growing globalization of markets.

Among the invited speakers are Jake Epp, EMR minister; John McDermid, minister of state for finance and privatization; MAC Chairman Keith Hendrick and Anthony Petrina, president of gold producer Placer Dome.
