MEMS prepares for annual conference

The Mineral Economics and Management Society (MEMS) will hold a conference from Feb. 27 to March 1 in Boulder, Colo.

Speakers scheduled to address the conference include: Robert Waline of the Environmental Protection Agency; Fernando Loayza of Bolivia’s mines ministry; and Peter Tufana of Harvard University.

Designed to encapsulate MEMS’s mandate of analyzing issues related to mineral resources, the conference will focus on supply and demand, international trade, environmental issues, and mineral-related U.S. government policy.
