Lease of Yukon mill terminated

Skukum and Omni had intended to use the 300-ton-per-day Yukon mill to treat ore from their Skukum Creek project which has mineable, fully diluted reserves reported at 513,000 tons of 0.221 oz gold and 8.0 oz silver. The road-accessed Skukum Creek project is located about 50 miles southeast of Whitehorse.

Ernie Bergvinson, president of the associated companies, said the joint venture withdrew from the lease because of various environmental concerns. The joint venture is now pursuing its other options for placing the Skukum Creek project into production.
