A Peruvian subsidiary of Altai Resources (TSE) can earn a 60% interest in La Brena, a gold-copper property in southern Peru.
The 3,000-hectare property hosts copper-gold mineralization with an exposed surface expression measuring 1,500 by 3,000 metres. Preliminary surface samples from the oxide zone have yielded assays ranging from 0.15 to 0.71 grams gold per tonne and 0.54-0.83% copper.
In addition, the property hosts gold-bearing gravels, with about 15 million cubic metres of gravel remaining, according to one estimate. Altai will start evaluating the claims in October.
