LATIN AMERICA — Kalahari active in Mexico

More than US$440,000 has been spent by a unit of Kennecott during the past 18 months on exploration of the lead-zinc-silver Parranda Manto project at Chihuahua, Mex., Kalahari Resources (VSE) reports.

A deep hole is being considered by the joint venture partners for drilling below La Leona workings to try to locate the widespread surface mineralization, Kalahari says.

The company is pursuing a joint venture partner for more drilling on its La Currita gold-silver project at Chihuahua. Kalahari says it plans to drop its option on the Nano copper-gold project at Sonora, Mex.
