LATIN AMERICA — Aranlee steps up exploration work in Argentina

`First pass’ scout program completed on properties in Salta and Jujuy Having completed a shallow drill program earlier this year, Aranlee Resources (ARB-V) intends to carry out additional drilling this summer at the Centenario gold project in Argentina.

The previous scout program, consisting of 19 holes totalling 2,335 metres, tested three properties in the northwestern provinces of Salta and Jujuy.

Based on the results, Aranlee relinquished the Chinchillas and Oculto projects. The Copalayo property also was relinquished, based on the results of surface rock sampling and mapping.

A new property, some 2 km southwest of Centenario, was added, bringing to seven the total number of properties held by Aranlee in the precious/base metal belt. A regional program will continue to test this land package.

The previous drill program included six holes (totalling 748 metres) at Centenario to test an altered porphyry to about 100 metres below surface.

Four of the six holes returned anomalous gold mineralization, with intercepts including 48 metres of 0.2 gram gold per tonne, 48 metres at 0.12 gram and 48 metres at 0.1 gram.

Aranlee’s summer program at Centenario will test the theory that gold grades increase to the south and southeast of the existing drilling.

A second altered porphyry target will also be tested. Surface mapping and sampling are under way, to be followed by geophysics and trenching to prepare targets for the summer drill program.

Aranlee is active in Kazakstan, as well, where it is acquiring a 67% interest in a joint venture holding about 11,700 sq. km of ground. The junior also holds a 50% interest in 17 properties in the Voisey’s Bay region of Labrador.
