LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Kassan exploring Mexican projects

A $1.2-million exploration program is under way at the San Jose de Cobre project in Mexico’s Durango and Sinaloa states.

Consolidated Kassan Resources (VSE) intends to evaluate several gold and polymetallic porphyry, breccia and epithermal vein targets in an area comprising more than 40,000 hectares.

The company is also exploring the Obra Maestra property in Sonora state, near Hermosillo, where preliminary work has identified both gold-copper skarn and gold-copper porphyry styles of mineralization.

Duncan McIvor, Kassan’s new president, is a geologist who has worked in Mexico, Honduras, Bolivia, Venezuela and French Guiana, as well as in North America.
