LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Carmelita defines anomalies

Airborne geophysical surveys have identified several coincident magnetic and electromagnetic anomalies on ground held by Carmelita Petroleum (VSE) in Labrador. The junior holds a half interest in eight claim blocks comprising 50,000 acres in the Voisey Bay area.

The Voisey Bay 3, 4 and 5 properties consist of 300 contiguous claims in the Kogaluk River area, 60 km from the original Voisey Bay discovery. In the southwestern area of the block, three strong electromagnetic conductors, coincident with elevated magnetic responses, have been defined. Limited rock sampling is reported as being anomalous in copper.

On the Voisey Bay 1 property, situated in the Tasisuak Lake area, one strong and one moderate electromagnetic conductor have been defined. Limited rock sampling here is anomalous in nickel, as well as copper. Applications for drill permits are proceeding.
