Kennecott drills Trendline

Drilling is under way on the Trendline property in the Battle Mountain trend of Nevada.

A 4-hole, reverse-circulation program conducted by Kennecott is testing geophysical targets to a depth of 500 to 800 ft.

The property lies withing a covered valley, adjacent to an exposed mountain range of lower-plate geology. The setting is similar, and along trend, to Placer Dome’s Pipeline discoveries, 16 miles to the southeast. Kennecott can earn up to a 65% interest from Cathedral Gold (TSE) by spending a minimum of US$500,000 over three years and completing a feasibility study. Results from the first phase will be used to plan a second round of drilling.
