Kalahari starts program on South Dakota project

Vancouver-based Kalahari Resources (VSE) says exploration has commenced at its Keystone gold project in Pennington Cty., S.D. Prospecting Geophysics, a company controlled by consultant Peter Ferdeber, has started VLF and magnetometer programs on the 5×0.5-mile property in a bid to define new drill targets.

While negotiating to acquire additional ground around Keystone, Kalahari is also looking around for properties in Mexico with the potential to become heap leach or open pit mines.

“Mexican President Salinas has opened up the country for foreign investment, both in an industrial and a mineral sense,” says William Sullivan, a lawyer acting on behalf of the company. “The new rules make it very attractive for foreign investment,” he said.
