INSIDER TRADING — McDonald cuts Golden Knight ties

One of the founders of Golden Knight Resources (TSE) and promoter of the Casa Berardi gold find, Bruce McDonald, has sold most of his remaining shares of the junior.

In its OSC Bulletin, the Ontario Securities Commission reports that McDonald, now a director, sold 27,800 shares of Golden Knight at $6.75 through IB-Mactrading Inc. He still holds 400 directly.

Golden Knight has a 40% interest in the Casa Berardi mines that it helped explore and develop in the 1980s. They produced 80,000 oz. gold in 1992, down from a record 119,000 oz. in 1991, following a 3-month shutdown at the Casa Berardi East mine.

Days after the Golden Knight sale, McDonald bought 204,500 shares of Gothic Resources (ME) at 39-40 cents to hold 470,321 indirectly. Gothic holds several exploration properties in Ontario and Quebec.
