A minimum 5,000-ft. drill program is set to begin at the Giant Copper property in southern British Columbia.
Owner Imperial Metals (IPM-T) intends to increase the near-surface tonnage of the AM zone, which is calculated to contain an open-pit resource of 29.5 million tonnes grading 0.65% copper, plus 0.011 oz. gold and 0.36 oz. silver per tonne.
Several holes are also planned to test the nearby Number 1 and Invermay zones, which were previously explored for their silver-lead-zinc-copper potential.
The 41-sq.-km property lies 40 km southeast of the town of Hope.
