The acquisition brings to 15 the number of claim groups acquired by High Frontier since the Louvicourt discovery was announced by Aur on June 12. A consulting geologist is preparing reports on each of the properties and exploration programs are under way.
In the U.S., High Frontier is also negotiating for the acquisition of two gold properties in two states.
The company has also acquired a gold prospect in Esmeralda Cty., Nev. Called the Tokop project, the claims display the potential for hosting Carlin-type epithermal gold mineralization.
A drill target characterized by typical epithermal deposit features such as jasperoid and calcite mineralization, has dimensions of 1,000 ft by 4,000 ft, High Frontier says. Gold values assayed from chip samples ranged up to 0.07 oz gold per ton. Strong arsenic, mercury and antimony anomalies have also been detected on the property.
