A new gold-bearing structure has been drilled by Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) on the Lepine property in northwestern Quebec. The property is under option from Radisson Mining (ME).
Gold is hosted within a mineralized basaltic unit found between ultramafic flows. The best intersections were 0.12 oz. gold per ton over 4.9 ft., 0.09 oz. over 9.8 ft. and 0.08 oz. over 4.9 ft.
Hemlo is earning a 50% interest in the property by spending $5 million on exploration before Jan. 15, 1998.
