A gold property in Quebec’s Cavalier Twp. will be jointly explored by Gowest Amalgamated Resources (GWA-A) and GeoNova Explorations (GNE-M).
The companies recently formed a joint venture whereby each will have a 50% interest in the project. GeoNova will act as operator.
GeoNova’s past work on the property includes several holes drilled in 1996, one of which returned 10.95 grams gold per tonne over 4 metres. The mineralization is within altered rocks along the gold-bearing Casa Berardi fault. The partners plan to conduct additional drilling in the fall and early winter.
