Gov’t needs guidance from miners

The Canadian mining and exploration industry has taken a beating these past four years, as development and exploration programs are sparse for juniors, the lifeline of mineral development. Some form of medication is needed for this ailing sector.

Those in various government agencies stonewalling mineral activity, along with placard-waving environmentalists who couldn’t distinguish a boulder from an outcrop, would do well to subscribe for a new potion called “Savvy,” and take it daily until their vision is completely restored. Savvy is a product that took those in the mining and exploration industry years to cultivate and perfect.

Unlike mineral executives (who earned their credentials), politicians are assigned their portfolios by a political system, and, for them, the term “shaft” means that which is given to the mining sector. (Tree-huggers are would-be politicians who can’t find people who like them enough to put their name on a party ticket.)

To the politicians who have a say in mineral development, we remind you to take your daily dose of Savvy, or, failing that, hire a professional from the mining industry as an assistant.
