Partners Golden Dragon Resources (VSE) and Glen Auden Resources (TSE) have released more assays from their Beatty Twp. gold project under option to Noranda (TSE) in northern Ontario. Noranda Exploration is operator of the project, situated on the Destor Porcupine fault east of Timmins, Ont. The senior company can earn a 60% interest in the property by spending $600,000 over three years.
Drill results up to hole 22, completed in December, include a section of 8.1 grams gold over 3 metres (0.25 oz. over 9.9 ft.) in hole 21. The latter hole was collared about 125 metres east of hole 12 which intersected a carbonate alteration zone containing 1.1 grams gold over 1.8 metres and 1.2 grams over 1 metre. The high-grade intersection in hole 21 contained an interval grading 20.4 grams gold over 1 metre (0.6 oz. over 3 ft.)
Hole 22, drilled 125 metres northwest and parallel to hole 21, intersected only weakly anomalous gold values in the carbonate alteration zone.
Glen Auden President Robert Middleton said the recent drill results represent Noranda’s latest attempts to follow the western extent of a gold zone discovered last year on the adjacent Glimmer Resources (VSE) property.
