Goldbrook, Castlewood option additional ground near

Goldbrook Explorations (TSE) and joint venture partner Castlewood Metals and Explorations (CDN) have optioned an additional 19 claims in the Onaman River area, 50 miles north of Beardmore, Ont. The new claims adjoin the 111-claim Onaman River property already held under option by the two companies.

Several polymetallic deposits were outlined on the property in the early 1950s. The largest deposit, the Headway main zone, contains preliminary reserves of 739,000 tons grading 3.15% combined lead-zinc with undisclosed silver values. In 1988, Goldbrook carried out airborne geophysical surveys and limited surface stripping on the property.

Goldbrook holds a 40% interest in the Onaman River joint venture, with Castlewood holding the balance. Goldbrook in turn has a 38% equity interest in Castlewood.
