Gibraltar nets labor contract at B.C.’s McLeese Lake Mine

An agreement with the union at the McLeese Lake mine in central British Columbia provides mine owner Gibraltar Mines (TSE) with a new 3-year labour contract.

The agreement was ratified by a 72% majority and provides across-the-board wage increases of 2% on April 1, 1996, 1% on Oct. 1, 1996, 2% on April 1, 1997 and 2% on April 1, 1998, as well as improvements to the benefit plan.
