Flag drilling near Sudbury

Work is continuing on the 10,400-hectare property held by Flag Resources near Sudbury, Ont.

A large magnetic body, thought to represent the western sector of the Wanapitei anomaly, was found near the property’s southern boundary. A consultant reported the depth of the anomaly as between 47 and 147 metres below surface. The surface area coincident with the anomaly has several nickel, copper and precious metal showings.

The company is also drilling the magnetic anomaly, 10 km to the north, in the vicinity of Laundry Lake. The hole, at a reported depth of 1,363 metres, continues to intersect magnetite.
