Mining crews at the Ferderber mine of Belmoral Mines (TSE) at Val d’Or, Que., missed a shift recently following a fire which destroyed the mine change facilities and assay office. No injuries were reported. Temporary change facilities have been installed.
Belmoral operates two gold mines in the Val d’Or area, the Ferderber and Dumont. The mines produced a total of 52,830 oz gold in 1987.
