Fairfield selling more gold

So far this year, Fairfield Minerals (TSE) has produced more than 6,000 oz. gold and 5,500 oz. silver from test mining on its Siwash North gold deposit near Merritt, in southern British Columbia.

The company is negotiating the sale of more than 6,000 oz. gold; the revenue would be reflected in this year’s third-quarter statements. Activities this year involved expanding the open pit and gaining access underground. Both projects are well-advanced and, upon completion of this year’s program, Fairfield expects to have produced an additional 5,000 oz. gold from the open pit. The underground exploration is expected to add to this total.

The average grade of ore mined to date is greater than three ounces gold per ton, which exceeds estimates by about 20%. Underground

access to the vein system is said to be approaching targeted areas.
