So far, High Frontier has optioned 13 groups of claims representing 11,080 acres in Louvicourt, Vauquelin, Pascalis and Pershing twps. and along the common boundary of Villebon and Vaquelin twps.
According to High Frontier, the properties cover portions of the metallogenetic belt adjacent to and north of the Cadillac Break favorable for both gold and base metal deposits.
“It is important to note that much of the previous drilling in the Val d’Or camp consisted of holes of 600 ft or less, and of these, very few explored favorable geology below 500 ft,” the company said.
Field work consisting of mapping, prospecting and reconnaissance geochemical surveying has already started on eight of the High Frontier, Beaufield Resources (TSE) joint venture blocks.
“This initial mapping and prospecting program will be followed up by line cutting, magnetic surveying and geochemical rock and soil analysis,” said High Frontier spokesman Don Cross.
“A drilling program to test the favorable conductors will be undertaken on the different properties when each block has been surveyed,” he said.
