The Cobatec cobalt recovery plant, near Cobalt, Ont., is scheduled to enter production this month, with the first shipment scheduled for March.
The hydrometallurgical facility, which cost owner Ego Resources (TSE) $14 million to build, is designed to produce cobalt-based, specialty chemical products. Feedstock includes high-grade ore from the Cobalt mining camp.
