Teck Corp. (TSE) reports net earnings for the fourth quarter of $30 million or 37 cents per share on revenue of $60 million compared to net earnings of $17.1 million or 21 cents per share on revenue of $55 million.

The company reports net earnings for the year ended Dec 31, of $88 million or $1.10 per share on revenue of $248 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $34 million on revenue of $204 million.

Earnings from the Williams mine at Hemlo have not been included in these results pending the judgment of the Supreme Court of Canada.

Magma Copper reports net earnings for the fourth quarter of $15.5 million(US) or 40 cents per share on revenue of $189.3 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported a net loss of $37.5 million or 98 cents per share on revenue of $105.2 million.

Franco-Nevada (TSE) reports net earnings for the three months ended Dec 31 of $464,000 on revenue of $874,000 compared to net earnings of $110,000 on revenue of $283,000.

The company reports net earnings for the year ended Dec 31 of $886,000 on revenue of $1.82 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $238,000 on revenue of $733,000.

Amax Gold (NYSE) reports net earnings for the fourth quarter of $4.4 million(US) or 7 cents per share compared to net earnings of $8.9 million or 15 cents per share in 1987.

The company reports net earnings for the year ended Dec 31 of $43 million or 72 cents per share. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $40.4 million or 67 cents per share.

The company’s fourth quarter net earnings were reduced by an $8.7 million fourth quarter write- down of the carrying value in Canamax Resources (TSE). This write-down was the result of Canamax’s previously announced decision to enter into an agreement to sell its Ketza River mine in the Yukon Territories. *

Coeur d’Alene reports net earnings for the three months ended Dec 31 of $3.79 million(US) or 34 cents per share on revenue of $21.36 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $3.47 million or 36 cents per share on revenue of $21.38 million.

For the year ended Dec 31 the company reports net earnings of $15.37 million or $1.45 per share on revenue of $85.24 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $11.20 million or $1.26 per share on revenue of $60.17 million. *

Brenda Mines (TSE) reports net earnings for the fourth quarter of $5.26 million or $1.08 per share on revenue of $21.93 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $4.74 million or 69 cents per share on revenue of $22.34 million.

For the year the company reports net earnings of $14.63 million or $3 per share on revenue of $74.43 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $16.16 million or $1.24 per share on revenue of $71.62 million. *

Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) reports fourth quarter net earnings of $11.41 million or 13 cents per share on revenue of $50.72 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net earnings of $17.73 million or 20 cents per share on revenue of $62.79 million.

For the 12 months ended Dec 31, the company reports net income of $43.97 million or 50 cents per share on revenue of $194.24 million. For the same period a year earlier the company reported net income of $56.86 million or 60 cents per share on revenue of $201,788 million. * *
