Drilling under way at Savanna/Aur bet

Under the agreement, Aur is scheduled to earn its interest by spending $2.25 million on exploration by January 1991 and purchase 1.3 million Savanna shares for $800,000.

The Turner-Albright property hosts a gold-rich massive sulphide deposit with drill-indicated reserves of 3.3 million tons grading 1.46% copper, 3.32% zinc and 0.11 oz gold per ton. The deposit remains unexplored to depth and along strike to the south.

A $300,000 drill program designed to expand existing reserves has already begun. The drills will probe below the existing reserves and along strike to the south and will include metallurgical work to evaluate the metal recoveries, according to Savanna.
