DIAMOND PAGE — Drilling programs test AfriOre diamond properties

A 3,000-Metre drill program by BHP Minerals is testing the Gope diamond project in Botswana, reports junior partner AfriOre (AFO-V).

The program is testing targets identified during a recent geophysical program.

AfriOre also reports that an exploration program is about to begin at its Jwaneng East property in Botswana, which lies immediately east of De Beers’ Jwaneng diamond mine. This program is being carried out by De Beers, which is AfriOre’s joint-venture partner.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Botswana, AfriOre intends to drill-Test three new kimberlites discovered late last year at its 53%-owned Kokong West property, a joint venture with Gencor of South Africa.

AfriOre has other mineral projects in Africa, including a diamond project in South Africa where partner Ashton Mining is processing a 600-Tonne bulk sample.
