Dia Met buys diamond processor from LAC

Included in the package is a diamond processing plant in Fort Collins, Colo., and potential diamond claims in Colorado, Quebec and near Kirkland Lake, Ont. The latter host two kimberlite pipes which have yielded several small diamonds. Dia Met has also acquired LAC’s diamond lab equipment, computers and data base. The processing plant can test 50 tons of ore per day for diamond quantity and quality. Dia Met plans to test ore from its Jack claim near Golden, B.C., which hosts a deposit of lamproite, another potential diamond source rock.

Mike Waldman, former head of the LAC program, joins Dia Met as project manager.
