Dejour/Noble net low gold recoveries

Testing by Lakefield Research using standard grind and cyanide extraction methods on five composite drill core samples failed to yield acceptable recoveries of gold. The Turquetil core is arsenopyrite- bearing and requires additional metallurgical treatment inorder to achieve acceptable recoveries.

Metallurgical methods normally used to treat mineralization similar to that occurring at Turquetil, will be tried next. Testing will include bioleaching, pressure leaching and roasting — methods which have proved successful on other arsenopyrite-bearing gold ores.

Drilling by the two companies has intersected economic grades of gold mineralization along a strike length of 900 m. The drilling has concentrated on one of several gold- bearing zones which occur on the 10,000-acre property.
