Drilling by MSV Resources (ME) on its Copper Rand property near Chibougamou, Que., indicates a deep extension of the gold-copper mineralization.
The company says “interesting gold and copper values” were intersected at the 3,600-ft. level near the Cedar Bay property.
A 5-ft. section in Hole 36R225, in lens 37-1, cut 2.78% copper and 0.11 oz. gold per ton. Also, a 5-ft. section in Hole 36R223, in lens 37-2, cut 2.42% copper and 0.29 oz. gold.
The ramp at Copper Rand has reached 3,735 ft. The company says the results to date suggest the mineralization extends in all directions.
The first phase of the current $5.2-million program is intended to deepen existing ramps and develop access to new zones in both mines. In part, the work has uncovered four gold-bearing lenses, all in the same area at Portage.
