Deep drill hole at Nor-Acme mine

A deep hole drilled at High River Gold Mines’ (VSE) Nor-Acme mine in Snow Lake, Man., has intersected two zones of gold mineralization, the company says.

The hole was drilled to test the down-plunge extension of the Dick zone, about 500 ft. from any previous drilling.

One zone graded 0.304 oz. gold per ton over 33 ft., and included significant amounts of visible gold. The second zone consisted of 70 ft. of anomalous gold values and included several narrow intersections up to 0.207 oz. over 2.7 ft.

The company says that the narrow intersections are significant since they are located in an area not previously known to contain gold mineralization. A second phase of drilling is being considered to further evaluate the new occurrences.
