Cyprus drilling intersects gold in Massicotte Twp.

Drilling by Cyprus Canada has intersected gold mineralization on Radisson Mining Resources’ (ME) Massicotte Twp. property north of La Sarre, Que.

According to Cyprus, two of four holes drilled intersected gold-bearing structures. Hole 93-12 returned 0.1 oz. gold per ton over 35.8 ft., including 0.22 oz. gold over 11 ft. and hole 93-09 yielded 0.11 oz. over 3.3 ft. Drilling in 1987 encountered values up to 0.26 oz. gold across 20.5 ft. The gold is associated with sulphide-bearing quartz veins in ankeritized and sericitized mafic volcanic rocks. The mineralized zone is open in all directions.

Cyprus can acquire a 51% interest by spending $1 million on exploration over four years and by making payments of $110,000 to CS Resources (TSE). In return, it will receive the latter’s interest, which will become a 1% net smelter royalty. Radisson will retain a 49% interest.

Further drilling by Cyprus will evaluate downdip and strike extensions.
