Cusac to reopen Michelle decline

The Michelle High Grade decline at the Table Mountain property of Cusac Industries (TSE) in northern British Columbia will be reopened.

The structure was known previously as the Eileen decline; the company changed the name to reflect its plans to drive an additional 650 ft. to intercept the Michelle High Grade structure. Previous drilling on the structure returned high-grade values ranging up to 12 oz. gold per ton over 10 ft.

Guilford Brett, president of Cusac, hopes to start work within the next month and estimates the cost of completing the development will be $300,000. The mill is continuing to process ore from the West Bain Vein structure at 250-300 tons per day. The company has not released recent head-grade values from the operation although Brett says those figures should be available when the company announces its financial results for the quarter ended Sept. 30.
