A conference examining the opportunities and pitfalls of international mining operations will be held Oct. 26-27 in London, England.
The event, titled “Global Emerging Markets,” will include such topics as: investing in former Soviet republics; the Chinese government’s mining policy; how decreased gold production and selling of gold by central banks affect emerging gold mining nations; the enforcement of environmental practices in emerging markets; funding upgrades for Russian mines; and mitigating risks associated with privatization.
