Several issues showed some life on the coats system this week. Lucas Gold traded up to $1.30 on thin volume. The company, which has an option to acquire a gold property in Lucas Twp. north of Timmins, Ont., plans to get listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange.
Glencairn Explorations traded to a new high of 58 cents on volume of 22,000 shares. The company has acquired an option to earn a 50% interest in a diamond placer property in Brazil. South American Goldfields which is also active in Latin America, was steady at 75 cents – 80 cents . The company has optioned several large tracts of land in Guyana, to U.S.-based Homestake Mining.
Card Lake Resources, which holds a promising gold prospect in the booming Harker-Holloway area east of Matheson, Ont., perked up to 55 cents . Last week, one trade was completed at 20 cents . President Paul Zyla says that a small financing is being readied which will fund a drill program on another property in nearby German Twp., Ont.
