COATS Trading Features (April 11, 1988)

Tarzan Gold continued to be a volume leader this week, trading more than 90,000 shares. The price, which is almost double the original issue price of 75 cents was $1.65. The company has a large portfolio of grass-roots properties in Ontario and Quebec. Exploration programs are in progress.

Findore Minerals was perkier at 45 cents -53 cents . The company says that joint venture partners Orcana Resources and Morgain Minerals have completed nine drill holes on Findore’s property in Garrison Twp., Ont. Visible gold was seen in two of the holes. A takeover bid for all the shares of Tyranex Gold has been rejected by that company’s management. Gunnar Gold, a partner with Tyranex on a gold play in Ontario has made the offer. Tyranex was quiet at 40 cents -50 cents .

Newfield Mines was traded at $1.90. The company is also the target of a takeover bid. The offer has been made by T & H Resources and Jonpol Explorations.
