Wyoming’s production of coal and trona increased in 1995, according to figures released by the state’s geological survey. Trona, or soda ash, is a widely used industrial chemical. Trona increased to 18.2 million tons last year from 17 million tons in 1994. Coal production neared 264 million tons in 1995, up 11.4% over 1994.
