CIM Newfoundland branch meeting set

The Newfoundland branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum will have its 41st annual meeting Nov. 3-5 at St. John’s.

Theme of the meeting will be “Investing and investment opportunities in the Newfoundland and Labrador mineral industry.”

The president of Freewest Resources, Mac Watson, will be the keynote speaker for the technical program. Wayne Fraser of Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting will speak at the opening luncheon.

Newfoundland’s 4th annual Mining Week is scheduled for Nov. 2-9.
